On your first visit with us you will have a chance to meet our friendly staff, tour the office and have a consultation with Dr. Griffies. When you arrive to the office you will check in at the front desk and then will be taken back for initial screening X-rays. The consultation appointment and X-rays are complimentary so no fees are involved.
For your first visit, please take time to complete the patient information form, which is available on this website or in the packet sent to you.
By completing this form prior to your arrival, we can begin your first visit without delay. Also be aware of your insurance coverage, if you have coverage. If you do have orthodontic coverage, please bring the needed paperwork so that we may assist you in getting your orthodontic benefits. Please contact your insurance company and ask the following questions:
- Do I have orthodontic coverage?
- What are my benefits?
- Is a pre-treatment estimate required?
- Does the insurance company pay automatically?
Once the X-rays and patient information forms are completed you will be taken to one of our consultation rooms to have photographs taken and examination with Dr. Griffies. The examination will determine if you or your child are ready for orthodontic treatment and what sort of treatment will be most appropriate to meet your desires. Oftentimes treatment may be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption or other factors are met.
